His body, afterward translated to Benevento and thence to Rome, was finally, by the command of the Supreme Pontiff Pius X, restored to Nola.

Be pleased to direct and sanctify, to rule and to govern, O Lord God, King of heaven and earth, this day our hearts and our bodies, our senses, our words, and our actions, in your law and in the works of your commandments: that here and in eternity, with your help, we may merit to be saved and free, O Savior of the world: who live and reign for ever and ever.
