Ant. Quid fáciam, quia dóminus meus aufert a me villicatiónem? Fódere non váleo, mendicáre erubésco. Scio quid fáciam, ut, cum amótus fúero a villicatióne, recípiant me in domos suas.

Ant. What shall I do, since my master is taking the stewardship from me? I am not strong enough to dig, I am ashamed to beg. I know what I shall do, so that when I am removed from the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.

Let us pray.

Largíre nobis, quǽsumus, Dómine, semper spíritum cogitándi quæ recta sunt, propítius et agéndi: ut, qui sine te esse non póssumus, secúndum te vívere valeámus.

Bestow on us, we pray, O Lord, always the spirit of thinking what is right, and, in your mercy, of doing it as well, so that we who cannot exist without you may be able to live according to you.
