Almighty ever-living God, who appointed your Only Begotten Son as Redeemer of the world and willed to be appeased by his Blood: grant, we pray, that we may so venerate with solemn worship the price of our salvation and be defended on earth from the evils of this present life by its power, that we may rejoice in perpetual fruit in heaven.
