Ant. This is my commandment, * that you love one another, as I have loved you.

Psalm 98

98:1 The Lord has reigned: let the peoples be angry; * he who sits upon the cherubim, let the earth be moved.
98:2 The Lord is great in Zion: * and he is high above all peoples.
98:3 May they confess to your great name, for it is terrible and holy: * and the honor of the king loves judgment.
98:4 You have prepared guidance: * you have accomplished judgment and justice in Jacob.
98:5 Exalt the Lord our God, and adore the footstool of his feet: * for it is holy.
98:6 Moses and Aaron are among his priests: * and Samuel is among those who call upon his name.
98:6 They called upon the Lord, and he heeded them: * he spoke to them in the pillar of the cloud.
98:7 They kept his testimonies, * and the precept that he gave them.
98:8 You heeded them, O Lord our God: * O God, you were a forgiving God to them, though taking vengeance on all their inventions.
98:9 Exalt the Lord our God, and adore on his holy mountain: * for the Lord our God is holy.

Psalm 142

142:1 Lord, hear my prayer: give ear to my supplication in your truth: * hear me in your justice.
142:2 And enter not into judgment with your servant: * for in your sight no living person shall be justified.
142:3a For the enemy has persecuted my soul: * he has brought my life down to the earth.
142:3b He has placed me in dark places, as those who have been dead for ages: * (4) and my spirit is in anguish within me, my heart is troubled within me.
142:5 I remembered the days of old, I meditated on all your works: * I pondered on the deeds of your hands.
142:6 I spread forth my hands to you: * my soul is like waterless ground thirsting for you.
142:7a Hear me quickly, O Lord: * my spirit has failed.
142:7b Turn not your face away from me: * lest I become like those who go down into the pit.
142:8a Make me hear your mercy in the morning: * for in you have I hoped.
142:8b Make known to me the way in which I should walk: * for to you have I lifted up my soul.
142:9 Deliver me from my enemies, O Lord, to you have I fled: * (10a) teach me to do your will, for you are my God.
142:10b Your good Spirit shall lead me into the right land: * (11a) for your name's sake, O Lord, you will preserve my life, in your justice.
142:11b You will bring my soul out of tribulation: * (12a) and in your mercy you will scatter my enemies.
142:12b And you will destroy all those who afflict my soul: * for I am your servant.

Psalm 84

84:2 You have blessed, O Lord, your land: * you have turned away the captivity of Jacob.

84:4 You have mitigated all your wrath: * you have turned away from the wrath of your indignation.
84:5 Convert us, O God our Savior: * and turn away your wrath from us.
84:6 Will you be angry with us for ever? * Or will you extend your wrath from generation to generation?
84:7 O God, you, being turned, will give us life: * and your people shall rejoice in you.
84:8 Show us, O Lord, your mercy: * and grant us your salvation.
84:9 I will hear what the Lord God will speak in me: * for he will speak peace unto his people.
84:9 And unto his holy ones: * and unto those who are converted to the heart.
84:10 Surely his salvation is near for those who fear him: * that glory may dwell in our land.
84:11 Mercy and truth have met each other: * justice and peace have kissed.
84:12 Truth has sprung out of the earth: * and justice has looked down from heaven.
84:13 For the Lord will give goodness: * and our earth shall yield her fruit.
84:14 Justice shall walk before him: * and shall set his steps in the way.

Canticle of Isaiah

Isa 45:15-30

45:15 Truly, you are a hidden God, * the God of Israel, the Savior.
45:16 They have all been confounded and are ashamed; * together the fabricators of errors have departed into confusion.
45:17 Israel is saved in the Lord by an eternal salvation; * you will not be confounded, and you will not be ashamed, even forever and ever.
45:18 For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens, * God himself who formed the earth and made it, the very Molder of it:
45:19 He did not create it to no purpose; he formed it so that it would be inhabited. * I am the Lord, and there is no other.
45:20 I have not spoken in secret, * in a dark place of the earth.
45:21 I have not said to the offspring of Jacob, 'Seek me in vain.' * I am the Lord, who speaks justice, who announces what is right.
45:22 Assemble yourselves, and approach, and draw near together, * you who have been saved among the Gentiles.
45:23 They lack knowledge, who lift up the wood of their sculpture, * and who petition a god unable to save.
45:24 Announce it, and approach, and consult together: * who has caused this to be heard from the beginning, and who has foretold it from that time?
45:25 Is it not I, the Lord? And is there some other god beside me? * I am a just God who saves, and there is no one except me.
45:26 All ends of the earth, be converted to me, and you will be saved; * for I am God, and there is no other.
45:27 I have sworn by myself. The Word of justice will proceed from my mouth, * and it will not turn back.
45:28 For every knee shall bend to me, * and every tongue shall swear it.
45:29 Therefore, he will say, 'In the Lord are my justices and my dominion.' * They will go to him, and all who fight against him will be confounded.
45:30 In the Lord, all the offspring of Israel * will be justified and praised.

147:6 He sends his crystal like morsels: * who shall stand before the face of his cold?
147:7 He shall send out his word, and melt them: * his wind shall blow, and the waters shall flow.
147:8 Who declares his word to Jacob: * his statutes and judgments to Israel.
147:9 He has not done so to every nation: * and his judgments he has not made known to them.
