O God, who in the glorious Transfiguration of your Only Begotten Son confirmed the mysteries of faith by the testimony of the Fathers, and wondrously prefigured the perfect adoption of children by the voice descending in a bright cloud: graciously grant that you may make us co-heirs of the King of glory himself, and grant that we may be sharers in the same glory.

Ant. This man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.

Deus, qui omnipoténtiam tuam parcéndo máxime et miserándo maniféstas: multíplica super nos misericórdiam tuam; ut, ad tua promíssa curréntes, cæléstium bonórum fácias esse consórtes.

O God, who most fully manifest your omnipotence by sparing and by showing mercy: multiply your mercy over us, so that, hastening toward your promises, you may cause us to become sharers of heavenly goods.
